A String and A Prayer

DESCRIPTION:
This is a non-denominational workshop for people who wish to create a grounding tool to bring them into the present moment. The Sacred Wheel of Peace, created by artist/author Eleanor Wiley will be explored during the class. As each participant makes their piece we will talk about the history and use of traditional prayer beads. This is not a class about techniques but more about trusting yourself and discovering your creative abilities. Questions and answers are asked while the participants are working on their beads. Interaction between the students occurs while they are making their beads. Practices for using the beads are discussed as the class progresses.
Braiding for Beaders

DESCRIPTION:
Braids on the foam kumihimo disk: round, square, and flat. Learn to incorporate beads into the braid during braiding and how to make designs without the need for specialty findings.
